Red Bull Defiance Win, Huge Surprise for Allen & Svendsen

After two days and 150+km in searing temperatures and strong summer winds, over 80 teams crossed the line of one of the world’s toughest adventure races.

First women’s elite team was Sia Svendsen and Jacqui Allen, who won the elite women’s category in 16.36:11 and shed a few happy tears when they found out they had taken victory.

Jacqui says: “It was a huge surprise we were really quite emotional when we finally knew the result. We just kept pushing all day long and we had no idea where we were all along.”
